Welcome to Jacaranda House B & B, the perfect venue for your relaxing visit to Darling. This beautifully restored Victorian country home is one of the oldest and historic properties in town and was originally the town house of the Duckitt’s of Towers Farm, one of the original founding families of Darling.

Secure off street parking, a beautiful swimming pool, free internet Wi Fi, a large open courtyard, braai facilities and a well-stocked paperback library are available for all our guests, on a first come, first served basis.

Centrally located in the heart of the Village  we are within easy walking distance of most local amenities including restaurants and cafes, shops, the Museum, Darling Wine, Udderley Delicious cheese, the Flying Pig charcuterie, Darling Sweets, Ormonde Winery and of course the Evita Perron theatre.

Breakfast is what really sets us apart from other similar establishments in Darling. Our breakfasts are legendary, including, fresh fruits and grains, freshly baked bread or pastries, jams and marmalades from our very own orchard and several choices of the main breakfast dish, in addition to the traditional fry up.

Event catering for parties and small groups of up to thirty people can always be accommodated for breakfast, lunch or dinner, either inside the house, in the garden, out on the courtyard or on the covered stoep according to numbers and prevailing weather conditions. We are always pleased to assist and advise on these occasions from planning through to delivery.

Dinner is available by prior arrangement. Jane is a professional chef and restaurateur with a wide repertoire of Middle Eastern, European and Asian cuisine. Our dishes are all homemade using ingredients in season, supporting local producers wherever possible and we will design a menu for you that reflects your tastes and budget.

The Cottage

The Cottage is spacious, comfortable and overlooks the pool. It includes a sitting area with TV, a kitchenette with microwave oven, refrigerator, a supply of homemade cookies, bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a separate bedroom with King size bed and en-suite shower room. There are heaters and ceiling fans along with extra towels for swimming, weather permitting.

Cost R1,180 per night, inclusive of breakfast for two adults.

The Travelers Rest

The Travelers Rest is a large, comfortable room with King size bed and good size en-suite with large free standing bath and shower. Tea and coffee making facilities, a supply of homemade cookies and bottled water are provided. There is a heater, ceiling fan and electric blanket along with extra towels for swimming, weather permitting.

Cost R980 per night inclusive of breakfast for two adults.

The Rondavel

The Rondavel has a Queen size bed and en-suite with shower. Tea and coffee making facilities, a supply of homemade cookies and bottled  water are included. Whilst this is a private and comfortable room we do not recommend it for an extended stay as it is our smallest. There is a heater,  ceiling fan and electric blanket along with extra towels for swimming, weather permitting.
